Suddenly at his home on Monday November 17, 1997, at the age of 72 years. Loving husband for 52 years to his wife Josephine. Dearest father of Pat and his wife Linda. Popa will be sadly missed by his cherished grandchildren, Michelle and her husband Mark Greenan and Terry Struck. He is predeceased by his daughter, Bonnie. Bill will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bill was a veteran of W.W. II. He served on City Council for 28 years, was a member of St. Clement's R.C. Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch #126, and Mnsgr. Paul J. Meyer Council 4916 Knights of Columbus. The family will receive friends at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Clements R.C. Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Thursday, November 20, 1997, at 10: 00 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
