      July 11, 1927 - October 18, 2013. Passed peacefully, away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side. Left to mourn is his loving wife, Marjorie and three very dear children, Shirley (Harry), Phillip (Wanda), Tom (Carol). Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Mildred (nee: Butt). Survived by his brothers, Bill (Patricia), Henry (Joanne), Clarence (Joan - deceased), Edward (Trudy), Al (Jenny) and their families. As well as four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, their spouses and families. Peter was a veteran of WWII and continued to serve in the Canadian Navy for twenty years. During that time he attended the Queen's Coronation, travelled the world and in the last year, received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal. In May of 2013, Peter was honoured by the Legion when he was presented with his Meritorious Service Medal, for volunteer services performed during his 50 year membership. Over his lifetime, Peter was a loyal member of the Lion's Club, Newfoundland Club, Coin Club, NATO and a variety of community senior's clubs. Peter was an accomplished author, having written a book on coins, his beloved hobby and retired from Uniroyal in Kitchener. Legion Funeral Service to take place on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. To be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Galt Br. 121, 4 Veterans Way, Cambridge, Ont. N1R 3K7. Reception to follow.
