    • Marjorie Elizabeth Balog of Cambridge, Ontario died on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at her residence, in her 80th year. Marjorie (Knisley), beloved wife of the late George Balog (1989). Dear mother of Karyn Henderson and her husband Rick of Grimsby, Gary Balog and his wife Patricia of Burlington, son-in-law John Miller and his wife Marylou of Kitchener. She was lovingly remembered by five grandchildren, Tara, Ryan, Peter, Matthew and Michael. Survived by three brothers, Bill Knisley (Irene) of Mansfield, Ont., Ron Knisley of Oakville, Norman Knisley (Marion) of Keswick, brother-in-law Allan McDougall (Lea) of Markdale and four sisters Helen Wilton of Durham, Isabel Woods of Forest, Adel Francis (Don) of Quebec, Marlyen Torrie (Arthur) of Prince Albert, Sask. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents William and Rita Knisley, daughter Pamela Miller, sister Thelma McDougall, sister-in-law Joyce Knisley, brothers-in-law Neil Wilton and Ben Woods. Marjorie had been a lifelong resident of the Cambridge area, an active member of Trillium United Church. She worked many years at Bell Canada, and later moved to CN Weber and retired from there. Funeral services were held at the Trillium United Church in Cambridge on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11 am with Rev. Mark Rutledge officiating. Interment was in Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge. Marjorie was a source of encouragement to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by friends and family.
