  TANTON, Mildred (nee Edwards) Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, September 6, 2009, at the age of 84. Devoted wife of the late, George Tanton (1993). Loving mother of Carol Chappell (nee Tanton) and her husband Clay and grandmother of Craig and Caitlyn. Dear sister of Larry Edwards of Sarnia, Myrna Wallis (Ron) of St. Thomas, Donna Birtch of Cambridge, Darlene Barnes of Watford, Madeline McCallum (Mike) of Brantford and Rieta Harris (Doug) of Dungannon. Mildred will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five brothers. Mildred was an active member of the David Durward Center, The Alan Reuter Center and the Golden Opportunities Program as well as a past member of the Eastern Star and the Rebekahs. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family received friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 10, 2009 (today) at 1 p.m. Rev.
