- POORE, Philip Perry
Of Hickory Street, Cambridge, on Thursday, March 28, 1996, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 56th year. Beloved husband of Sandy McKay; dear father of Perry and his wife Paulette of Windsor, James and his wife Augusta Marie, Brian and his friend Bonnie Paulitzki, Tina and her fiance Eddie Quinlan, and Tracy and her husband Blair Ryan, all of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren. Also survived by three brothers, Donald and his wife Donna of New York, USA., George and his wife Dorothy of Branchton, Larry and his wife Ina of Kitchener and five sisters, Betty St. Croix of St. Catharines, Isabelle Gambling, Shirley and her husband Wilfred Main, Marg and her husband William King, all of Cambridge and Jackie Hill of Carrying Place, Ont. Predeceased by his parents, John and Myrtle Poore; two brothers, Harold and David and one sister, Ruth. Phil was born in Cambridge and had been a lifelong resident of the area. He retired as an automatic press operator at Butler Metals and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 1, 1996, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 1332 Hamilton St., Cambridge, with Rev. Glenn Reeder officiating. Interment in Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
