Of Eagle Street North, Cambridge, on Thursday, May 9, 1996, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 80th year.Beloved husband of 55 years of Marjorie Stroeder. Dear father of Gerald and his wife Helen, Francis and his wife Judy, Charlotte Campbell and her husband Ray, Helen Isley, Betty Gingrich and her husband Ron and Cathy Koehler and her husband Larry, all of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one brother, Ted and his wife Rita of Maryhill. Predeceased by his parerts, Josephine and George Isley; two brothers, William in infancy and Joe and one sister, Marguerite Haid. Mr. Isley was born in Hesson, Ont. and came to Preston, in 1949. He was the owner operator of Isley Fuels from 1956, until he retired in 1976. He was an Honorary member of Preston Hespeler Knights of Columbus Mnsgr., Paul J. Meyer Council 4916 Knights of Columbus, a member of St. Clement's Parish and a fraternal affiliate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, this evening (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 13, 1996, at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
