On Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at his residence, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Anita Vogel: dear father of Douglas and his wife Joan of Ayr, Susan Hill and her husband Bob of Cambridge and Karen Lamarche and her husband Dave of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren, Kathy, Michael, Lori, Lesley, Matthew, Phillip and Paige and two great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Lucas. Sadly missed by three brothers, Harry of Southampton, Paul of Cambridge and Frank of Clifford and one sister, Marilyn Miller of Alymer. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary Domonchuk; four brothers, Joe, John, Pete and Jake and one sister, Helen Demmery. Mr. Domonchuk was born in Preston and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired shoe material salesman, head usher at St. Clement's RC Church for many years, a Veteran of the Second World War, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126 and a member of the Knights of Columbus of Galt and an avid rose gardener. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, on Saturday, Aug. 22, 1998, at 10 a.m., interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
