- Titizian Bayzar (Betty)
Passed away peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Monday, April 13, 2009, with family by her side. Bayzar “Betty” Titizian, was born in Kessab, Syria, on February 6, 1919 and recently celebrated her 90th birthday, at Fairview Mennonite Home, in Cambridge, where she had been a resident for the past two years. In 1962 Bayzar immigrated to Canada, with her beloved husband, Joseph and their four children. She had lived in Cambridge, Ontario, for the past 47 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; her daughter, Rose and her daughter-in-law Arlene. She is survived by her son. Archie and his wife Arpie of Los Angeles, California; her son, George also of Los Angeles, California: her son-in-law, Hrayr Ray of Cambridge and her son, Mike and his wife Connie, also of Cambridge. She will be sadly missed by her 12 grandchildren: Joe and wife Talin, Raffy. Berge Sam, Betty Maral and husband Quint, Sonja and husband Mark, Martin and wife Candice, Armen and wife Lara, Hrant and wife Araz, Garine Arsha, Gayane Lucy, Lonna and Talina. She was also the loving great-grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Karine, Kristopher, Raffi, Alexa, Krystian, Julia, Antranig, Joseph, Dominic and Tony. Mrs. Titizian was very active in the Armenian Community of Cambridge, through her many years of service with the Armenian Red Cross Ladies Auxiliary. In her earlier years, she was a dedicated member of the local Armenian Apostoile Church choir. In the late 60s and early 70s, she and her daughter, Rose, owned and operated Betty's Boutique in downtown Galt. The Titizian family will receive friends and relatives at Dale Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge, on Thursday, April 16, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A brief memorial service, will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Thursday evening, at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Parklawn Cemetery.
