  Bairos, Jose Chaves (August 12, 1933 - May 8, 2010), It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Jose after a brief illness. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday May 8, 2010, at the age of 76. Loving husband for 53 years of Adelina (nee Chaves). Cherished father of Lourdes (Louis) Resendes, Cidalia (Silvino) Sousa, Eulalia (Ernesto) Melo and Luisa (Dinis) Leonardo. Special grandfather of Mallory, Cassandra and Chantelle Resendes, Beth, Michelle and Joey Sousa, Jack and Jason Melo and Alex and Dianna Leonardo. Jose is also survived by his brothers Fransisco (Florinda) of Faial, Agostinho (Eulalia) of Winnipeg, Father Joao Chaves Bairos of Lisbon, Ernesto (Armenia) of Mississauga, sisters Maria Monteiro, Ines Chaves and Teresinha Bairos (Antonio) as well as his sister-in-law Salete Bairos. He will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Predeceased by his parents Jose and Maria de Jesus Bairos, brothers Antonio and Angelo and brothers-in-law, Jose Monteiro and Jose Chaves. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Elgin St. S., Cambridge, on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 10a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. Cambridge Times 17 May 2010
