      Peacefully, at Lisaard House, Cambridge, after a courageous battle with Leukemia, surrounded by her family at the age of 56. Loving and devoted wife of John. Cherished mother of Iain and Richard. Dear sister of Blanche Walsh (Edward), Carol Kelly (Chuck), Laura Whitelaw (Tim), Glenn Brown (Marie), Virginia Reid (Don), Shawn Brown (Paulinka), Marlene Marshall (Scott), Connie Loewen (Jody) and her sister-in-law, Glenys. Sadly missed by her several nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Predeceased by her beloved mother Edna, father Frank, as well as her special brothers, Frank and Gary. Janet was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Galt Branch 121, and played horseshoes with the Hespeler Branch 272. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Legion Service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion (Galt Branch 121) will be held in the funeral home chapel, at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
