  CHAVES, Nelia Maria Monteiro (Of Cambridge Peacefully, after a courageous battle with A.L.S, at the Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the age of 59. Loving and devoted wife of Antonio Monteiro Chaves. Cherished mother of Andy Chaves (Tara Ritchie). Daughter of Virginia Monteiro and the late Manuel Monteiro. Nelia will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Maria Reis Sousa (Antonio), and Sesaltina Contente (Paulo), her brother, Jose Maria Monteiro (Margarte), her brother-in-law, Jose Maria Chaves (Terezinha) and sister-in-law, Lurdes Luz (Jose), as well as her several nieces, nephews, family and friends. At Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family received friends on Friday, June 24. Rosary was recited that evening. Mass of Christian Burial, was celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Elgin Street South, Cambridge, on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Interment followed at Parklawn Cemetery.
