  CHAVES, Maria Soares Passed away with her loving family at her side, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Friday, August 3, 2007, at the age of 87. Loving wife of the late Jacinto Sousa Rego. Beloved mother of Jose Rego (Maria Helena), Maria Chaves (David), Manuel Rego (Esmerelda), Isabel Lean-dres (Angelo), Antonio Rego (Maria), Fernando Rego (Susan) and Silvino Rego (Lenalia). Proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Maria is survived by her sister Filomena Sousa in California. Predeceased by two brothers. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge (519) 740-0669, where the family will receive friends on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at St. Patricks R. C. Church, Wellington Street, Cambridge. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. Arrangements are incomplete, please call the funeral home for date and time of Mass.
