Passed away peacefully, at her residence, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, in her 77th year. Elsie (nee Dean) beloved wife of Kenneth Cook. Dear mother of Victoria Shepherd and her husband Brent of Toronto and Tracy Mills and her husband Norman of Barrie. Lovingly remembered by four grandchildren, Vivien Rose, Christien, Curtis and Connor. Survived by two brothers, Salem Dean and Joe Dean. Predeceased by her parents, Emery and Elsie Dean and one sister, Ellen Garraway. Mrs. Cook was born in Surrey, England, came to Canada in 1948 and lived in Cambridge until moving to Mississauga 20 years ago. She was retired from Savage Shoe. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Friday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 1: 30 p.m. Interment in Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
