Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family at her residence, Nithview Home, New Hamburg on Thursday, February 18, 2010. Cindy Martin, formerly of Plattsville and Cambridge, in her 92nd year. Wonderful mother of Gayle Cook of Cambridge, George Waechter of Kitchener, Gerri Duque of Waterloo, Pat and husband Tom Conaway of Waterloo, Margaret and husband George Weiberg of Cambridge, Robert Waechter of Strathroy, John and Carolyn Waechter of Milton and Mary and husband Barry Hawes of Chesterfield. She will be sadly missed by her 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sons, Peter (1961) and Jimmy (1989), by grandsons, David Alan Cook (1969) and Jeffrey Cook (1994). Cindy was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Cindy was a longtime member of the Catholic Women's League, the Royal Canadian Legion and had been a member of the Plattsville Young at Heart and was a supporter of Anselma House and Family and Friends of Schizophrenia and the Carol Currier Residence. Relatives and Friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St., Plattsville, on Sunday, from 2-5 p.m., only. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church, New Hamburg on Monday, February 22, 2010, at 11: 00 a.m. Father James Malone celebrant. Interment later in Parklawn Cemetery, Preston.
