  WEIDINGER, Edward K. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Weidinger, Edward K. Born in Hamburg, Germany in 1935, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Leaving behind his wife and best friend Regina Weidinger (Van Esch) of 54 years, father to four children, Jennifer Weidinger, Roy Weidinger (Linda), Mary-Ann Rideout (Sean) and Duane Weidinger (Sheila). Opa will be missed by his grandchildren, Lisa, Matthew, Eric, Nadine, Cheyenne and Joshua. Brother of Karl Heinz Weidinger of Hamburg Germany. Predeceased by his parents, Katherina and Joseph Weidinger. He will be sadly missed by his extended family. Edward was foremost a Christian and family man who immigrated to Canada in 1956 and was a very proud Canadian. He was founder of Preston Rebuilt Machinery Industry Ltd. He was a Pro-Life activist, member of Cambridge Right to Life and Campaign Life, Grand Knight and 4th degree of Preston Knights of Columbus. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. D. Humphrey and staff, the CCAC and a special thanks to Debbie and Ethel. Family and friends will be received at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, ON (519-653-3251) on Friday, December 13th, 2: 00 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m. and 7: 00 p.m. to 9: 00 p.m. with the Rosary at 8: 30 p.m. The Funeral will be held at 10: 00 a.m., on Saturday, December 14th at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, ON.
