  WEIR, Kenneth Passed away peacefully, at St. Andrews "Terrace, on Sunday, January 11., 2009, at the age of 83. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Doreen Weir (nee Ross). Beloved father of Diane (Dan) Bekiroski of Kitchener and Donna (Geoff) Sanders of Cambridge and grandfather of Brandon. Ken will also be missed by his brothers-in-law, Ed (Sonny) Ross of Hanover and Neil Ross of Cambridge and by his special sister-in-law, Midge Bell also of Cambridge. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Ken was the last surviving and the youngest of six children born to William James and Jane Weir (nee Higgins). Predeceased by an infant daughter, Janice Lynn (1957): his parents and his two brothers and three sisters. Ken was a long serving employee of the University of Waterloo. He was a member of the Preston-Hespeler Probus Men's Club, as well as a retired member of the Scout House Band. Ken enjoyed his many years teaching First Aid courses, for Saint John's Ambulance. As per Ken's request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Corbett Funeral Home. 95 Dundas St., Cambridge on Wednesday January 14, 2009, at 11 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior.
