  VOKEY, Gordon Arnold Passed away peacefully, at the age of 57, on Thursday, October 4, 2001, in the presence of his family. Beloved husband of Muriel (nee Kelland); dear father of Joy Puim (Ascenio) and Dale (Karen Perpetel, all of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Erica. Dear brother of Ernest (Glad), Calvin (Bertha) and Randall (Mary) all of Bell Island Nfld. Shirley of Labrador City, Julia Murphy (Frank), Ruby McCartney (George), Viola Normore and Rowena Robinson (Danny). Survived by his many nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by Lucan and Damien. Predeceased by his parents, Edith and Stanley Vokey and his sister, Evelyn. Gordon was born on Bell Island, Nfld. and moved to Ontario in 1963. He was employed by Dana/ Wick Canada for 33 years. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Sunday, from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at 11: 00 a.m., at St. John's Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, with Canon David Bowyer officiating.
