At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, June 15, 2002, in his 87th year. Verd Tales of Cambridge, is the beloved husband of Dorothy Tales. Dear father of Larie and his wife Vicki of California, Ed and his wife Betty of St. Thomas, Dave and his wife Karen of Georgetown, Lin and her husband Rev. Jim Carr of Ingersoll. Loved grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jenny Galloway and her husband Jim of Tottenham. Also lovingly remembered by George and Fanny Tatchell and Marg and Pat Edwards, all of Toronto. He was predeceased by one grandson, Blake Tales; three brothers and one sister. Mr. Tales retired from Savage Shoe in 1981, after over 35 years service. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 96 Andrews St., Cambridge (www.funeralscanada.com), today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at 1: 30 p.m., with Canon David Bowyer officiating. Interment to follow in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
