      Of Grand Valley Dr., Cambridge, on Sunday, May 22, 2005, peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on his 68th birthday. Beloved husband of Patricia Chisholm; loving father of Greg Hardcastle and his wife Mary Lyn of Cambridge, Karen MacGillivary and her husband Jason of Ayr. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Quinn, Mikaylie, Sarah, and Tyler. Survived by his sister, Mary Bonham and her husband Jim of Cambridge and stepbrother, Derek Bateson of Cambridge. Predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Isabelle Hardcastle; his step-mother, Hilda and sister, Marjorie Purcer-Hutchinson. Mr. Hardcastle was born in Cambridge and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a valued employee for over 25 years, with Sears as the Receiving Manager, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Clements RC Church and the Monsignor Doyle Preston-Hespeler Knights of Columbus. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd. Cambridge 653-3251 on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 (today). Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at 10 a.m. at St. Clements RC Church, 750 Duke St. Cambridge. Interment at Parklawn Cemetery.
