  SIMINOWSKI, Violet "Vi" Elizabeth (nee Matthews) Passed away peacefull, on December 13, 2017, at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge, Ontario, in her 93rd year. She has been reunited with the love of her life, Casimir "Casey" (1986) and her daughter, Pamela Pinos (John) (2004). Born in Burgeo, Newfoundland, on April 4, 1924, Violet was the daughter of the late James and Jessie (Beauchamp) Matthews. Loving mother of Peggy (David) DuCharme of Ottawa and Paul Siminowski of Cambridge. Adoring grandmother of Felicia Pinos of Ottawa. Violet has also left behind a brother and sister Don Matthews of Dartmouth, N.S. and Myrtle Porter of Halifax, N.S. Predeceased by her brothers, Cyril of Dartmouth, N.S., Ambrose of Cornerbrook, Newfoundland and sister, Julie McCorkindale, San Franciso, CA. The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring doctors and staff at Hilltop Manor. The family will receive friends and family at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, ON., on Monday, December 18, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel, at 1 p.m. Following the service, the family of Violet wishes to invite everyone to the Knights of Columbus Lounge, 333 Speedsville Rd., Cambridge, for a Celebration of her Life. The family would like to thank friends Tom and Colleen Best of Cambridge, the children of the late Jack and Pat Kelly of Cambridge and the children of Jimmy and Maureen Bartley of Cambridge, for their support and assistance, during this sad time.
