  PEREIRA, Joao Born in Livramento, S. Miguel. Azores, Portugal on October 19, 1930, passed away peacefully at Golden Years Nursing Home, Cambridge, on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the age of 82. Predeceased by his wife Maria. Cherished father of Adriano Pereira (Conceicao), the late Joao Pereira (Helena) and the late Antonio Pereira (Teresa). Special grandfather of Monisha, Joshua, Johnathan, Brittany, Vanessa, Micaela, Jose Antonio. Brother of Margarida Pacheco (Dorvalino), Delfina Botelho (the late Eduardo), Gloria Mota (Jose) and Manuel Pereira (Maria Isabel). Joao will also be sadly missed by his companion, Olivia Santos and her children, Paula Camara and Mike Santos and her granddaughter, Chantal Camara, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, where the family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Roma Catholic Church, Elgin St. S., Cambridge, on Tuesday July 30, 2013, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
