Passed away peacefully, after a short and courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 69th year, surrounded by his wife of 46 years, Mary (Kelly) and all his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, were all by his side. Predeceased by his parents, Rose and Jack Johnson. Survived by his sister-in-law, Colleen (Bill) Rose and brothers-in-law, Paul (Pat) Kelly and Vincent (Carol) Kelly. Also survived by nieces, Kelly Ann (Jason) Couto, Lisa, Sarah and Laura Kelly and nephews, Shawn, Ryan and Matthew Kelly and one great niece, Kathlynn Ann Harris. Bob worked at Woolley and Cambridge Shoe and played softball for Galt Gores, Slee Lumber and various industrial teams and also bowled in the major leagues for years. A special thank you to Dr. Wright and Karen Biggs at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton and also to all the nurses that were so great to Bob on the 3rd floor at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, as well as the Emergency Staff and the Medical Day Care doctors. Family and friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge on Sunday, August 29, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held from the Chapel of Coutts Funeral Home on Monday, August 30, 2010, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery in Preston.
