      The family is sad to announce the passing of Olive Myra (Holmes) Kernohan, at St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, Ontario on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Olive was 90 years of age, born in Montreal, December 13, 1919. She married Eric John Kernohan April 14, 1946 at Grace Anglican Church, Pointe St. Charles, Montreal. Eric John Kernohan passed away July 13, 1982. Olive is survived by her sons, Robert Kernohan and his wife Ann of Cambridge, their children Janine and her husband Joel Rorke (children Mackenzie, Eric and Matthew), and Preston Kernohan and his girlfriend Marley Gregg. Also survived by Wayne Kernohan of Newmarket and Laura Kernohan and their children Daniel Kernohan and his wife Kirsty (children Liam and Maeve), Shannon and her husband Kevin Reith (daughter Abigail) and Heather Kernohan. Olive is also survived by three sisters; Audrey and her husband Wilson Ramsay, Lois and her husband the late Ken Hiley and Margaret and her husband the late Mac Myatt and sister-in-law Pat (Meehan) Holmes. She will also be missed by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Dorothy Victoria (Smythe) and Harry Walker Holmes, her eldest brother, Abner and his wife Pearl (Zizian) Holmes, older sister Eunice and her husband Andrew Butler, younger sister Georgina and her husband Earl Miller, younger brother Wesley Holmes and John and Lilly Kernohan. Olive grew up in Pointe St. Charles, Montreal, part of a large and happy family. She worked at RCA Victor, during the war, building communications equipment. Olive and Eric moved to Toronto, after their marriage. They raised their two boys in North Central Toronto and moved to Cambridge, in 1977 when Eric retired. Olive moved to St. Luke's Place in 1992 and fully enjoyed their wonderful care until her passing. Olive lived a life of love and respect of others. Her funeral will take place Thursday, April 15 at ll a.m. at Dale Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd. in Cambridge (H). Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 14, 2-4 p.m. at St. Luke's Place Chapel, 1624 Franklin Blvd. Cambridge (H) then in the evening, Wednesday, April 14, 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
