  FERNANDES, Maria De Jesus (formerly of Falai, Azores) Passed away at the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Friday, October 12, 2007, at the age of 93. Loving wife of the late Manuel Fernandes. Beloved mother of Manuel (Ana), Fernando (Joan), Fernanda Serpa, Manuela Camara (Jose) and Leodina Andre. Proud grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Maria is survived by her sister, Fernanda Rosa in Cambridge and family in Portugal. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Monday evening, at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R. C. Church, Elgin Street South, Cambridge, on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. The Record Newspaper 15 Oct 2007 pg B7
