      Surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 8, 2010, passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 52nd year. Precious daughter of Margaret O'Brien and the late Thomas O'Brien (1988). Loving sister of Jim O'Brien and his wife Loretta, Kevin O'Brien and his wife Linda, Richard O'Brien and his wife Carol, Patrick O'Brien and his wife Judy, John O'Brien and his wife Bev, all of Cambridge. Thomas O'Brien Jr. and his wife Patsy, Michael O'Brien and his wife Cindy of Kitchener. Bill O'Brien and his wife Margie of St. John's, NL. Dearly beloved sister of Margaret Kavanagh and the late Joseph Kavanagh (2007), Patricia Stone and her husband Don, Jean and Jim Costello all of Cambridge, Marie Durnford and her husband Ben of Paris, ON. Catherine is pre- deceased by her three sisters Ellen, Rita and Mary. Catherine will be sadly missed by her 40 nieces and nephews, her 48 great nieces and nephews and her many friends and neighbours. Catherine was born on Bell Island, NL and has been a resident of Cambridge, for 44 years. She was a faithful, loving and devoted caregiver to her mother Margaret. Catherine is a member of St. Clement's Parish. The family will receive friends at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 QUEENSTON ROAD, Cambridge on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 8: 30 p.m. Celebration of New Life will be held at St. Clement's Church on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge. Special thanks to all the Doctors of Oncology and the nurses on the 5th floor in the Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their loving care for Catherine.
