On Saturday, February 14, 2004, at his residence St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, in his 81st year. Loving husband of the late Eleanor Kohli (Kendrick), 1984. Dear brother of Ken (Jan) Lapsley of Kitchener and Jean Smith of Cambridge. Survived by his step-son, Alan Kohli. Sadly missed by two nieces, Elizabeth Lapsley and Caroline Litt and special friend Donelda Thompson at St. Luke's. Predeceased by his parents, Claude and Maude Lapsley; his brother, Cecil and sister, Annie, as well as his step-daughter, Judith Osborn. Mr. Lapsley, was born in Preston and was a life long resident. He was employed for many years, at Howard Smith Motors, until his retirement. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126 and currently a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Hespeler Branch 272 and the Probus Club. A long-standing member of St. John's Anglican Men's Association and ran the breakfast for many years, as well as a past church warden. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Monday, February 16, 2004 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at St. John's Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at 1: 30 p.m., with Canon David Bowyer officiating. Interment in Parklawn Cemetery.
