  LEONARDO, Luisa (Bairos) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wife and mother after a hard fought battle with cancer. Luisa Leonardo leaves to mourn her beloved husband ,Dinis and her adored children, Alex and Dianna. Also mourning her loss is her mother, Adelina Bairos (predeceased by father Jose Bairos), sister Lourdes (Louis) Resendes, Cidalia Sousa, Eulalia (Ernesto) Melo and brother-in-law Jose (Maria) Leonardo. She also left to mourn her nephews and nieces Mallory (Brian), Cassandra, and Chantelle Resendes, Beth, Michelle and Joey Sousa, Jack (Brandi) and Jason Melo, Victor (Lucy), and Nelson (Susie, and grandniece Justina), Robert and Tania (Jerry, and grandniece Alivia) Leonardo and many more. Luisa will also be fondly remembered by many members of the Bairos, Pereira-Chaves and Leonardo families. Luisa had a strong vivacious personality that invited friends wherever she went. She leaves behind numerous friends, that she has met and kept in touch with throughout her life. Her penchant for details and facts kept everyone around her entertained and delighted. When faced with her health issues, Luisa's positive attitude faced every challenge and set back with more determination than ever. The family would like to thank everyone (family, friends, and colleagues) for all your love, support and companionship to Luisa through this demanding challenge. Heartfelt thanks to her whole medical team, especially Dr. Chouinard. We wish to thank the team of nurses and medical personnel at CMH 3B for the amazing support shown to Luisa and all of her family throughout the last part of her journey. Rested at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge on Sunday, December 20, 2015. Funeral Mass was held at St. Ambrose RC Church, 210 South Street, Cambridge on Monday, December 21, 2015.
