Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on his 84th birthday. Beloved husband of Iola (nee Lockwood). Step-father of Kenneth Nentwig (Sally), Keith Nentwig (Vera), and Edgar Nentwig. Grandfather of Jennifer and Miranda Nentwig. Brother of Anna Michalczyk of Poland. Predeceased by his parents, Johann and Marie and brothers Joseph, Paul and Alois. George will also be missed by many friends and extended family here and in Europe. Family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, from 1-4 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Funeral service to celebrate George's life will take place at the New Apostolic Church, 160 Margaret Avenue, Kitchener, at 7 p.m. following visitation. Reception in the church hall immediately following the service. Cremation to follow, with interment to take place at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge at a later date.
