  ELLIS, John David December 9, 1935-February 14, 2016. Passed away peacefully, at his home on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the age of 80. Beloved husband to Melvina (nee Doucette) of 55 years and loving father to Laurie (Eimutis), Cindy (Mark), Cheryl (Renato) and Michael (Louise). Cherished papa to his nine grandchildren: Megan, Kyle, Brittany, Brent, Samantha, Emily, Michael, Nicholas, Jessica and his three great-grandchildren, Ezabella, Emmett and Emma-lee. David is survived by his brother, Roger Ellis (Marg), sister-in-law, Patricia Ellis, brothers and sisters-in-law from Prince Edward Island, nieces and nephews, He is predeceased by his youngest brother, William Ellis and his parents, John and Winifred Ellis. David found great joy in spending time with his family and friends, skiing on the hills of Mt. St Louis, golfing, playing cards and summer vacations, in PEI. As per his wishes cremation has taken place. A mass and celebration of life will take place at 11: 00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27th at St. Clement's Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge.
