    • DICKIN, William John (Jack)

      Of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2002, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, after several months illness, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Linda Anderson (Secord); dear step-father of Pat Anderson and his wife Carrie; beloved grandpa of Matthew Anderson. Survived by his sisters, Dorothy Scherrer and Laura Davidson, both of Cambridge, Ruth Ann Tordoff of Wilson, N.Y. brothers, Ray of St. Clements and Don of Glen Morris. Jack served in the navy and army, was a member of Preston Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 126 and the South Waterloo Naval Vets' Associations. He retired from C.P. Rail in 1983. In retirement, Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping on Manitoulin Island. Many happy hours were spent in his big garden, from which he gladly shared the produce. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Tuesday, May 21, 2002 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at 1: 30 p.m., with Rev. Andrew Paulsen officiating. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.
