  John R. Bellar, one of the best known and much respected citizens of Shields township, died somewhat suddenly at his home on January 4. The deceased was nearly fifty-four years of age. He was a native of Canada, from whence he came to this country eighteen or twenty years ago. Mr. Bellar was one of the sturdy, substantial and progressive citizens of the county and his sudden taking off is much regretted. He was a prominent member of the Minnonite church in his community, where the funeral was held on Tuesday of this week. January 09 1908, The O'Neill, NE Frontier
