  GOMES, Manuel It is with great sadness that the family of Manuel Gomes, announces his passing in Cambridge on Monday, December 24, 2012, at the age of 71, after a long bout with cancer. Manuel is survived by his wife Maria, children Luis, John and Anna and grandchildren, Ryan, Justine, Skylar, Angelus, Joshua and Sarah. Manuel was born in Portugal, served in Angola, for two years and immigrated to Canada with his young family in 1968. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren, which were his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge, where family will receive friends on Thursday, December 27, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 810 King St. E., Cambridge on Friday, December 28, 2012, at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
