  GREGORIO, Maria de Jesus (nee Sarabando) With grace and dignity, Maria Gregorio, chose June 21, 2010, the summer solstice, longest day of the year; the day the sun stands still for just a moment, to be with her God. Surrounded by her family; Aurelio Dennis (Penny), Linda, Rick (Karin) and grandchildren, Brittany, Paul, Meghan, Lauren and Ethan, Avo came to peace with her worldly soul and relinquished herself to heaven. Maria is the daughter of the late Joao and Anunciacao Sarabando; cherished sister of Odete (Joao) of Portugal, the late Joao Diniz, Natalia (Antonio) and Jose Casimiro (Lucia). A woman with tremendous grace, fiery spirit and profound wisdom, Maria's heart was always full of love for her family and she gave unconditionally of herself to everyone she touched. Respected by many and bestowed with gifts that some would say are simple, Maria made them magical; simple pleasures of food, conversation, laughter and a welcoming home. Avo, walk for miles along the beach, be forever warmed by the sun, let your spirit soar, sing, dance, whistle; forever your song in our hearts. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima R.C.
