- HARRINGTON, (Garry) Shawn
It is with sad hearts that the family shares the news of the sudden passing of Shawn Harrington in his 47th year on Friday, January 27, 2012, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Best friend and husband of Sandi (nee Arsenault). Proud dad to his five wonderful children, Tyler, Bradley, Matthew, Rebecca and Trent; beloved son of Marilyn Harrington (Garry 2004). Best brother of Glenn (Karen) and nieces, Rachael and Ashley. Cherished son-in-law of Evelyn and Louis Arsenault. Amazing brother-in-law to Sheri (Dave), Shane, Susan (Norm), Scott (Carla), nieces and nephews J.D., Brittany, Brooke, Jacob, Katie, Brandon, Sarah, Alexandra, Ryan, Nicholas, Paige, Elise and Noah. Shawn will be missed by his Grandma, Marion Phillips, aunts, uncles, cousins and many family friends. Predeceased by grandma, Jean Harrington (1990), grandpa Frank Phillips (2005), grandpa Gerald Harrington (2010) and his niece Madison Harrington (1995). Family was Shawn's priority. He loved and looked forward to planning family vacations. Shawn was very actively involved in his kids' sports. Shawn loved going to watch his boys play hockey and taking Rebecca to her horseback riding lessons. He was so very proud of them all. Shawn enjoyed an active life: from family outings on the boat, to camping trips in the summer and snowmobile trips with family and friends. Shawn was President of Cambridge Truck and Trailer, following the death of his father and mentor in 2004. Family and friends were received at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, January 30th from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 31st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Agatha R.C. Church, 1839 Notre Dame Dr., St. Agatha on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dan Lobsinger, CR as celebrant. A reception will immediately follow at the St. Agatha Community Centre. Interment at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
