    • McMICHAEL, Wayne R.

      P.Eng., B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc. University of Waterloo. Wayne passed away surrounded by his loving family, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on March 7, 2002, at the age of 64 years. Wayne was a member of the Professional Engineers Association of Ontario and the American Society for Metals. He was a devoted volunteer for the Cambridge YMCA, serving with the "Y" Service Club, for over 40 years. Prior to attending the University of Waterloo, he received an apprenticeship as a Tool and Die Maker, from the Ford Motor Company, in Windsor. An avid golfer, he will be sadly missed by his golf partners, Don, Jim and Brian and special friend, Terry. Wayne enjoyed many hobbies especially wood-working. Survived by his wife, Margaret and two daughters, Sharon Schmidt and her husband Joe (Ayr) and Jill Weigel and her husband Gary (Maryhill). His sister, Audrey Bender and her husband Blair (Cambridge). Brother-in-law, Dr. William Fellows and his wife Virginia (Gulfport, Miss.). Devoted papa to Kimberley and Matthew Schmidt and Aaron and Ben Weigel. Also survived by his niece, Lisa Floto and her husband Rick and their daughter Grace and a nephew, Adam. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mabel McMichael. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Saturday, from 2-5 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday, March 11, 2002, at 1: 30 p.m. Private interment in Park Lawn Cemetery.
