  Melo, Joao Semiao November 11, 1929 - March 22, 2010. Born in San Miguel, Azores and moved to Ontario in 1973. Joao passed away peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 22, 2010, at the age of 80. Loving husband of 56 years to Maria Gilda. Cherished father of Dinis (Luisa), John and Nelson (Paula). Beloved grandfather of Steve, Sonya, Alex, Jordan and Jake. Dear brother of Fernando (Lucy) and Maria Angelina (Antonio). Joao will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Antonio Semiao and Maria da Conceicao Jardim and siblings Gil, Antonio, Artur, Jose, Dinis, Maria Natalia, Maria Joana and twins Joao and Jose. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home , 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family received friends on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at 10 am. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery. Cambridge Times 31 Mar 2010
