  MONTEIRO, Jose Maria After a courageous battle with cancer, peacefully, at home with his family by his side, Jose Maria Monteiro, was taken into God's hands. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Fatima (nee Melo), cherished son, Kevin (Francesca) and his adored grandchildren Victoria and Gianluca. He is predeceased by his parents, Filomena and Jose Puim. He also leaves behind his caring sisters; Conceicao Pavao (Eduardo), Isabel, Fatima Fernandes (Joao), Elvira Bairos (Vincente) and his brother, Antonio. Mother and father-in-law, Maria and Antonio Nordelo of Santa Maria, Portugal, as well as his treasured brothers-in-law, Luis Melo (Delia), Joao Melo (Lucia) and sister-in-law, Lurdes (the late Joao Paulo). He will also be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be recited at 7: 30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at St. Ambrose R.C. Church, Elgin St. S. (at South St.) on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. Waterloo Region Record 2 May 2010
