  SHANTZ, Merle (Rev.) At Cambridge, on Monday, June 19, 1989, in his 87th year. Husband of Pheobe (Bengtson), father of Margaret, Stephen, John, Ruth and Edith Ann; brother of June and Jean. Predeceased by his first wife, Mildred (George). During his active life, Mr. Shantz was a tireless worker for the cause of Christ, whom he loved. In more recent times he served as pastor of Old Windham United Church, Simcoe and of Wanner Mennonite Church, Cambridge. A private family graveside service, will be followed by a memorial service, at Fairview Apartments, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge, on Wednesday, June 21, 1989, at 7 p.m., to which the public is cordially invited.
