• Notes

  Died (aged 65) in a car accident the evening of May 29, 1964, on Highway 24 three miles north of Hespeler, while returning from a road inspection. The driver of the other car involved in the head-on collision was charged, and one witness said that she believed that the five men in the car had been drinking. Mr Burton was a century farm owner and township school trustee. He was active in the co-op and Credit Union movement, and was a past president of Breslau Credit Union. As councillor, he held every committee chairmanship, and chaired township's road committee at time of death. Active in Co-op and Credit Union movement and president of Breslau Credit Union.
