    • Carl B. Jahncke

      PRESTON, April 25., Carl B. Jahncke, 81, died at his home at Kossuth, early yesterday, following a lengthy illness. He had been a life-long resident of this district and retired 10 years ago. He was a member of Shantz Station Lutheran Church. His wife predeceased him, July 8, 1929 and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Krueger of Drumbo and Mrs. Andrew Scarth of Shantz Station, also predeceased him. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert H. Hudson, Kitchener, Mrs. Elizabeth Dessler, Breslau and Miss Isabel Jahncke at home; one son, William John Jahncke, Kossuth. Nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren also survive. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, Preston, where a short service will be held, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a service at Wanner's Mennonite Church, at 2: 30. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
