- STEVER, Henry (Hank)
Suddenly, as the result of an airplane accident, on Saturday, August 12, 1978, Hank Stever of Route 32, Cambridge (P), age 42 years. A member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the experimental aircraft Association. Mr. Stever was formerly the proprieter of The Inn in Port McNichol. Born at Shantz Station, a son of Anna Tabbert and the late Emmanuel Stever. Husband of Betty Whittaker; father of John, 7; Laura, 12; Gail, 10 and Karen, 5; all at home; brother of Stanley and Ervin, both of Kitchener, Kenneth of Midland, Mrs. Leonora Schiel of St. Catharines, Helen (Mrs. Arnold Rohr and Shirley (Mrs. Fred Schmidt), both of Kitchener. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, until noon on Wednesday, when removal will be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, for the funeral service, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Fred Zinck officiating. Interment Wanner Mennonite cemetery.

Man, 42, killed as home-built plane crashes
BALA . A Cambridge area man was killed, Saturday, when his home-built, single-engine airplane, crashed just after taking off, from the Severn River, about 55 kilometres north of Orillia. Dead is Hank Stever, 42, of RR 32, Cambridge. Provincial police said that Stever, had been visiting friends, at a cottage near the scene of the crash. Cottagers who saw the accident, said the plane climbed about 65 metres, before the left wing fell off and the plane plunged into the river. Stever's body was recovered by divers, Saturday, from the aircraft, which landed in about six metres of water. Stever was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
