  Susannah Groh, "was born October 9th, 1817, and died January 30th, 1849. On December 22nd, 1834, she was married to Joseph Witmer. They resided on the old "Witmer Farm" about one mile north-east of Preston where she died. Their family consisted of five children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
