      Peacefully, at the Cambridge Memorial, with her family by her side, on Monday April 2, 2012, at the age of 91. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Leslie Teat (1976). Cherished mother of daughter, Mary Smith and son-in-law, Arthur Hewer. Special grandmother of Jim Hewer (Teresa), Rob Hewer (Patricia), Sheri Abreu (Miguel), Bill Smith (Sheryl) and Angela Smith, as well as great-grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Emily, Julia, Jordan and Reese. Edith is predeceased by her daughter, Betty Hewer, her granddaughter, Karen Hewer and her siblings; Alice Hewitt, Lillian Lovegrove and Arthur Groome. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family received friends on Thursday, April 5, 2012, from 12-2 p.m. Funeral Services were held in the funeral home chapel, at 2 p.m. Interment followed at Trinity Anglican Cemetery.
