      The family of Gladys Morton is saddened to announce her passing, at Fairview Mennonite Home, on May 19, 2011, at the age of 89. She is survived by Ab, her best friend and loving husband of 69 years and three children; Robert (Karen) of Everett, Barbara Parker (Gary) of Grand Bend and Patricia Gallant of Cambridge. Also survived by two sisters, Helen Jarvie and Connie Hilborn and sister-in-law, Bessie Pollard. Gladys was blessed with eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Stares; brothers Victor and Jack Stares, sister Kathlyn Webb, brothers-in-law Ernie Pollard and Ernie Morton and her infant daughter, Beverley Morton. She was a lifelong resident of Cambridge and an active member of Trinity Anglican Church, including service with the Caroline Ridley Group, A.C.W. for most of her adult life. She was a former volunteer at the David Durward Centre and a member of the Millcreek Ladies Club. Gladys loved to garden, knit and quilt, donating many of her creations, to church charities. A Funeral Service will be held at the T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 2011, at 2 o'clock. Visitation one hour prior to service.
