  DALY, Doreen Shirley (nee Hardcastle) Born March 23, 1927, passed away after a short illness on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Survived by her sons, David (Anne), Mike (Lynn), and Frank (Barb), eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and sister Alice (Chuck) Whittaker, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Jack (1996), parents, Frank and Nora Hardcastle, sister Margaret (Reg) Higham and brother, Thomas. She will be fondly remembered by many friends. During her life, she was very active. Life member of the Ladies Aux, Branch 121 Galt Legion, Cambridge Memorial Hospital Aux, for over 30 years, member of Trinity Anglican Church, Caroline Ridley Group for 50 years, A&W and the social club, Riverside Probus Club, the Ladies Conservative Party, and worked many years at the Trinity Community Table. She also enjoyed her bridge club and played in the Red Cross Bridge for many years. The family would like to express a special thank you to the nursing staff at Hilltop Manor and her friend Suzanne Johnson for the care and compassion shown to Doreen. Funeral Services will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 12 Blair Rd., Cambridge, on Monday, December 31, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., with the family receiving guests one hour prior.
