- PETERS, Aretta Mary - (Formerly of West River Road, Galt) At York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill on Saturday, October 23, 1999 in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late Thomas F.B. Peters. Survived by her daughter Pat Peters and dear friend Xenia Cooper of Thornhill and her son Wally and his wife Penny of Sudbury and many nieces and nephews. Beloved sister-in-law of George Ventry of Guelph and Beatrice Karoub of Detroit. Predeceased by her brothers Bernard Schott and Jack Schott, both of Hespeler and by her sisters Freda Wehner of Hespeler, Eunice Ventry of Guelph and Velma James of Hespeler. Aretta was a former member of the Chancel Guild at St. James Anglican Church, involved with Sunday School at Trinity Anglican Church as well as their Thor Loy Group. She was involved with the Home and School Association, the Girl Guides Association of Galt and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a former member of St. James Anglican Church, Trinity Anglican Church, St. Thomas Anglican Church and Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Thornhill. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Ellis Road, Cambridge (Hespeler), on Tuesday, October 26, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Gord Moir officiating. Interment Trinity Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Warren Fraleigh and Primary Palliative VON Nurse Linda Nastor for all of their care and support.
