    • Death of Mr. August Schmidt

      Mr. August Schmidt of 12 David St. died last night after a short illness..He was 72 years old and was born in West Prussia, Germany. He lived in this country 37 years. Surviving him are his wife and six sons and two daughters as follows: - Otto, William Eugene, Oscar and Fred all of this city and Pre Norman who is in Rhyl Camp, North Wales; Miss Lillian at home and Mrs. Welsh of this city.

      The deceased was widely acquainted and had many admirers who will mourn his death.

      The funeral will take place Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the house thence to the east end Lutheran cemetery.

      Laid to Rest

      The funeral of Mr. August Schmidt, of 12 David Street, was held at two o'clock yesterday afternoon from the residence, internment following in the East End Lutheran Cemetery. Espressions of sympathy and condolences were in evidence in the attendance of friends and in the beautiful floral emblems received, which included the following:

      Sprays from Mr. and Mrs. William Schmidt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmidt and family. Mrs. Paetz and family. Mrs. Kaminski, firm and employees of J. Walter, the girls of the Lang Treacy & Co., Miss Pritchard. Mr. Otto Schmidt and family; pillow from the family al home; pillow from the National Furniture employees; wreath from Mr. and Mrs. Welch and family; wreath from C. G. Pritschau.
