July 22, 1921 - March 12, 2011. Passed away at Lisaard House, in his 90th year. Survived by beloved wife, Kathleen, “K”. Loving father of Andrew Stinton (Denise Carr-Rollitt) and Lesley Sinclair. Stepfather of Christine Ball (Lyle), Gregory McNiece (Hazel) and Andrew Blair McNiece. Admired by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Martin was born in England in 1921. His life working on the Avro Arrow, brought him to Canada, where he became a successful business man. He was very involved in the Galt Little Theatre and became the motivating force behind the building of the Cambridge Arts Theatre. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Galt, winning the Paul Harris award and was a founding member of the Probus Club of Cambridge. He served on many boards and committees and gave unselfishly many hours to the community. His dedication and love to the community, led him to being inducted into the Cambridge Hall of Fame in 2001. He was also the recipient of The Bernice Adams Trustees Special Award, for his contribution to the cultural life of the City of Cambridge. He will be missed deeply by all his family and friends. A memorial service followed by a celebration of life will be held at the CAMBRIDGE ARTS THEATRE, 47 Water Street South, Cambridge at 1: 00 p.m., Saturday, March 26th.
