  MCINTOSH, Daniel Edward Born in Florence, Cape Breton, February 12, 1926; died peacefully, at Innisfree House, Kitchener, July 21, 2016. Survived by his wife of 24 years, Theresa Daly McIntosh. Predeceased by his first wife, Pearl McIntosh (nee Richards) and by his four younger siblings (Mel, Mary, Rod and Ann). Retired nearly 30 years from work for the City of Cambridge, Dan resided at Trinity Village, for the past two years. He will be fondly remembered by his and Terry's extended families - including his many nieces and nephews and their children, by his off-track betting buddies and by residents and caregivers at Trinity Village. "Some days a diamond, some days a stone," often quoted our Dan. He charmed others into taking good care of him, but he also stepped up to care well for others when it was needed. Full of gentle good humour, he will be greatly missed. As Dan requested, cremation has taken place. A family celebration of Dan's life will be held at a later date. Thanks very much for the very caring support provided at Innisfree House, at Grand River and St. Mary's Hospitals, at Trinity Village and at Dr. John M. Stewart's office.
