- A-1-51 Christopher Freidel: Nun Cupative Will of Christopher Freidel, late of Detroit, in the State of Michigan, U.S. formerly of the Township of Woolwich, County of Waterloo, C.W., Deceased. Petition of Executors to the Ordinary of Waterloo County, C.W.
To William Miller, Esquire, Judge of the Surrogate Court of the County of Waterloo. The Petition of Jacob Rothweiler, of the City of Detroit in the State of Michigan, one of the United States of America, Minister of the Gospel. Humbly showeth:-
That Christopher Freidel of the County of Wayne, in said State of Michigan, departed this life on or about the Eleventh day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Four, having first duly made and declared his Last Will and Testament, the same being a Nun-Cupative Will, thereby appointing and nominating your petitioners, the above said Jacob Rothweiler, the sole Executor thereof, with power to administer to his divers goods, chattels and credits. That the value of the goods, chattels and credits which the said Testator died possessed of within the County of Waterloo and he leaving no goods and chattels and credits to the amount of five pounds in anyone or more Counties within the Province of Canada, else then the said County of Waterloo, amounts to a sum over Twenty five pounds and under fifty pounds to the best of my knowledge and belief. Therefore the prayer of your Petitioner is that the Probate granted at Detroit, in said State of Michigan, of the said Last Nun-Cupative Will be received and insinuated into the Registry of your honorable Court, and that probate thereof be granted to him, that the true intent and meaning thereof may be fully carried out, and to do as the law in such cases requires.
Dated at Berlin, the 13th of September, 1854
Signed by Jacob Rothweiler.
